Vana Parva, also known as Aranya Parva is one of the largest of the 18 Parvas of Mahabharata. It is covered in two parts in the Third and fourth volumes of Sri Saripalle Somayaji's Sloka-Vachana Mahabharatam. Vanaparva depicts Pandava's sincerity, patience and courage towards abiding by Dharma, despite the facts that they are capable of fighting back and that they had got the peoples' support. First part of Sri Somayaji's Vana Parva has Pandava's departure to the forest, their stay at different places in the forest. They get engaged in the activities of regaining their past glory.
