Ishwara Geeta in Telugu by Sri Saripalle Venkata Subrahmanya Somayaji

Ishwara Geeta in "Adhyatma Geeta Sri Lahari" book by BrahmaSri Somayaji

Ishwara Geeta from the Kurma Purana is composed of eleven chapters and four hundred and ninety-six hymns. It contains the highest level of Vedanta theology and introduces Paashupata Yoga in the final chapter. Sages who listened to these hymns by Lord Shiva,  preached it to all the theistic people. Lord Krishna, the son of Devaki, has also propagated this Geeta following the same path. Verses 31 and 32 in the eleventh chapter stated that. Thus it is clear that the Ishvara Gita is much older than the Bhagavad Gita. The subtleties mentioned in it are elaborated in the Bhagavad Gita. Many of the hymns in it are recited in the Bhagavad Gita as is. Like the Mahabharata, Siva-Keshava's indivisibility is often mentioned in the Ishvara Gita. Though it expounded the formless Parabrahma as the Shiva tattva, Ishvara Gita has also offered other ways of Upasanas, showing its impartial or inclusive dealing of the subject with respect to other Vedic traditions. The main purpose of this Geeta is for human beings to attain supreme prosperity through these Upasanas. So it, undoubtedly, is a perfect Geeta for daily recitation.

Sri Somayaji's Ishwara Geeta is one of the contents of his book comprised of 14 Geetas,  "Rishiprokta Adhyatma Geeta Sree Lahari". Click the below links to find the book
